One of the biggest focuses for GlassBox moving forward is the way we work with, support and enable arts engagement opportunities for the people within our community of Medway, especially those who otherwise might find access or inclusion difficult. As part of that strategy, we are looking for creative freelancers with theatre related specialisms to join our pool of workshop facilitators. Workshops facilitators will deliver workshops in their own specialisms at our base here at MidKent College Campus.
Disciplines could include but not limited to playwriting, directing, design, special effects, crafts, technical theatre, producing, performance art & literature.
A minimum of 1 year experience working as a facilitator, leading workshops with people, preferably within theatre/live performance industry or in an education capacity
A background in a theatre related specialism
A self-starter who can lead, take initiative but work well collaboratively
A skilled and personable communicator able to communicate effectively with a range of people
Ability to lead workshops, inspiring confidence, self-discovery and encouraging creativity
A flexible approach to adapt to the needs of the group within each session, changing plans as necessary
Good project management skills, organised and self-motivated
Imaginative & creative flair
Passionate about the theatre industry
Commitment to respecting diversity in all its forms
FEE: Negotiable paid per workshop (freelance)
Must be self-employed
Reporting to Theatre Manager
